How to use the Oopbuy spreadsheet
This is the practical version: what to click, in what order, and what to check before money moves. Reading it end to end takes about six minutes and will save you considerably more than that on your first order. Updated 2026-09-22.
1. Decide what you are shopping for before you open the sheet
The failure mode of every spreadsheet session is undirected browsing. Pick a category first — Shoes, Jackets, Accessories — or type a brand into search. Filtering by price band early also stops you building a cart whose freight you cannot afford.
2. Read a product page properly
Each find has its own page with four things that matter: the reference price in CNY and USD, the brand, the item ID, and the marketplace link. The reference price is what we last observed on the seller's listing — it is not a quote. If the price is central to your decision, open the live listing via the "View on Kakox" button before you commit.
3. Copy the right link
Press Copy Weidian link on the product page. You get a URL shaped like weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7775396763. That is exactly what an agent needs. Do not copy the Kakox URL into an agent — it is a catalogue page, not a listing.
4. Paste it into your agent
Log in to your chosen agent, open Buy for me (sometimes called Search by link), paste, and let it resolve the item. Choose size and colour from the seller's own options, then confirm the item price, domestic shipping and service fee. The agent quotes the fee before you pay — this is your checkpoint to compare against other agents if the fee looks high.

5. Inspect QC photos like you mean it
When the item reaches the warehouse the agent uploads photos. Zoom to 200% and check logo placement, stitching density, glue lines, hardware function and the size tag. If an angle is missing, ask — extra photos are free at most agents and are far cheaper than return freight. Work through the 12-point checklist rather than eyeballing it.
6. Consolidate before you ship
If you have more than one item in the warehouse, submit them as a single parcel. Consolidation removes at least one base freight charge and lets the agent pack more efficiently. If you are shipping anything bulky, ask about repacking — removing shoe boxes routinely cuts chargeable weight by 30% or more.
7. Understand what you will pay at the border
Freight is billed on the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Duty and VAT are separate again: US parcels now attract duty since the $800 de minimis exemption ended, and EU/UK imports carry VAT. Estimate both with the calculators before you finalise the parcel, not after.
Common mistakes, in order of cost
- Approving QC in under a minute, then discovering a flaw in hand.
- Shipping a single bulky item instead of consolidating.
- Choosing an agent purely on service fee and ignoring freight rates.
- Forgetting duties entirely and being surprised by the courier invoice.
- Using a dead link from an old spreadsheet instead of a re-checked one.
